DYMAT 2009 is the 9th international conference on the mechanical and the physical behaviour of materials under dynamic loading. The objective of this triennial international conference is to create a forum where people involved in scientific research as well as industrial applications related to the dynamic behaviour of materials can meet and share ideas by means of a series of presentations and technical exhibition. The topics to be presented at the 9th DYMAT 2009 conference cover theoretical, numerical and experimental approaches to the various methods used to study the mechanical and physical behaviour of polymers, metals, ceramics, and composites at high strain duty. People are also invited to present work based on specific industrial applications such as automobile crashes, terminal ballistics and space exploration techniques.
