The National Digital Inclusion Conference 2009 aims to gather over 300 delegates from across the public, private, NGOs and other related sectors to network, discuss digital inclusion policy and practice and shape the agenda for action that delivers 'empowerment through technology'. The conference will feature rich plenary sessions which will be addressed by those leading the way in the fields of digital inclusion, social exclusion, transformational government and technology. The conference programme will also feature a choice of four Workstreams on Communities, Health and Well-Being, 21st Century Learning, and E-Democracy, which will run in between the main plenary sessions. The Fourth National Digital Inclusion Conference will offer a platform for delegates to debate and examine the theme 'Empowerment through Technology', which will focus particularly of those who are both digitally and socially excluded, and to have their say about how we use technology as a force for social change.
