ITI International Conference 2009 - Sustainability in Translation is a major event for translators, interpreters, translation companies and suppliers to the industry. It presents an interactive platform for the delegates to gain knowledge, develop trusted relationship with industry stakeholders and be informed about some of the uses of technology in translation and interpreting. ITI is one of the primary sources of information on translation and interpreting to government, industry, the media and the general public. The conference aims to bring together freelance and in-house translators and interpreters, translation companies, providers of services to the translation and interpreting industry and those who are considering a career as a translator or interpreter. The ITI International conference 2009 will provide a better understanding of how to maximise dealings with clients.
The ITI International Conference 2009 - Sustainability in Translation will focus on the following four key aspects:

• Sustaining the Profession, looking at what is needed to secure the future of the translation and interpreting profession
• Sustaining the Professional, looking at what you as a T&I professional can be doing to keep a healthy body and clear mind, and lead harmonious professional and private lives
• Moving with the Times, looking at current and future trends in translation and interpreting and in the way in which T&I professionals conduct their business.
