International Conference on Development 2009 (ICD 2009) is a discerning conference jointly organized by Department of Sociology and Anthropology and International Institute for Muslim Unity. ICD 2009 will take place during July 2009 at Cultural Activity Centre, International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. The objectives of the conference are to discuss socio-economic and socio-political development with special reference to Muslims by focusing on the issues like: The roles of sociologists and anthropologists in development in line with the Islamic perspectives. The roles of sociology and anthropology graduates in public as well as private sectors in the last two decades or so through tracer study. And the problems and prospects of sociology and anthropology graduates in facing the challenges of globalization in the new millennium.
